An Máthair Talún (Mother of the Earth), we turn to you now, in this time of fire and loss. Your body bears the wounds of flame and smoke, and our hearts ache for the suffering of the land and its creatures. Guide us in our prayers for healing, renewal, and balance.

Sit quietly, close your eyes, and breathe deeply. With every inhale, imagine the air filling your lungs with the cool, soothing energy of water. With every exhale, release heat, tension, and worry, letting them dissipate like smoke carried by the wind.

Invocation:

A Máthair Talún, tabhair foscadh do do chlann, tabhair fionnachtain don talamh, agus tabhair suaimhneas don tine.

(Mother Earth, give shelter to your children, bring renewal to the land, and bring peace to the fire.)

Repeat this three times, with reverence and intention. Feel your voice joining the countless others who cry out for healing, weaving a web of connection and care.

Affirmation of Healing for the Earth:

Place your hands on the ground, if possible, or rest them on your knees, palms facing downward. Whisper softly:

Is é seo mo ghealltanas: seasfaidh mé mar chaomhnóir na talún, ag tabhairt aire di amhail is gur cuid di mé.

(This is my vow: I will stand as a guardian of the earth, caring for her as though I am part of her.)

Feel the energy of the earth beneath you, its vast and ancient power. Imagine it as a heartbeat, steady and resilient, even amidst the flames. Know that the land remembers how to heal, and you are part of that process.

Visualization Exercise:

Picture yourself standing on a scorched hillside. Around you, the trees are blackened, the air heavy with ash. But beneath your feet, the earth is alive, waiting. Close your eyes and call upon An Máthair Talún:

Tabhair uisce chuig an talamh tirim, tabhair fás nua chuig na crainn dhóite, tabhair saol nua chuig an domhan loit.

(Bring water to the parched earth, bring new growth to the burned trees, bring new life to the wounded world.)

As you speak, imagine rain beginning to fall. See it soaking into the soil, cleansing the air, and cooling the fires. Visualize tiny shoots of green breaking through the blackened ground, their leaves trembling with hope. Picture animals returning, finding safety and sustenance in the rejuvenated land. Hold this image in your heart as a promise of what can be.

Gaelic Blessing for the Fires:

Go maire na haibhneacha fionnuar agus folláin.Go bhfanfaidh an ghaoth mall agus bog.Go bhfaighe an talamh athnuachan i néal an tsáimh.

(May the rivers remain cool and healthy.May the wind stay gentle and soft.May the earth find renewal in the peace of the mist.)

Closing Prayer:

Place your hands over your heart and bow your head. Speak or think these words:

Go gcuirfear stop leis an tine, agus go ndéanfar an talamh a shlánú.

(May the fires be stopped, and may the earth be healed.)

Rise with a renewed sense of purpose, carrying the calm and commitment of this meditation with you. Remember, even in destruction, there is the seed of renewal. By tending to the earth and each other, we can nurture a future of balance and peace.
