An Máthair Talún (Mother of the Earth), as the frost clings to the branches and the earth lies in stillness, I seek your healing touch. Let your boundless love awaken the dormant seeds of strength and renewal within me.
Begin by sitting comfortably, closing your eyes, and breathing deeply. With every inhale, draw in the crisp, fresh air of winter—a reminder that even the coldest times hold the promise of renewal. With every exhale, release tension, fear, and doubt, imagining them dissolving like mist under the morning sun.
Invocation:
Tabhair dómhan neart agus sámhacht.
(Grant me strength and peace.)
Repeat this phrase gently, letting it echo within your mind and soul. Feel the power of these words connecting you to the ancient rhythms of the earth.
Affirmation of Healing:
Place your hands over your heart, feeling its steady rhythm—the drumbeat of your life. Whisper softly:
“I am a child of the earth, rooted in love and strength. Healing flows through me as freely as the rivers, as steadily as the seasons.”
Let the warmth of your hands seep into your chest, spreading through your body like sunlight breaking through the clouds. Visualize this warmth reaching every corner of your being, illuminating and restoring.
Visualization Exercise:
Picture yourself standing in a quiet grove, the ground beneath you soft with moss and leaves. Around you, ancient trees rise like guardians, their branches intertwining above to form a sheltering canopy. The air is filled with the soothing sounds of nature: the rustle of leaves, the distant murmur of a brook, the song of birds.
In the center of the grove stands a stone well, its waters shimmering with a soft, golden light. Approach the well and gaze into its depths. This is the Well of Healing, a gift from An Máthair Talún. Whisper your pain, your worries, or your wounds into the water. Watch as the golden light swirls, embracing and transforming them.
Now, cup your hands and draw water from the well. Drink deeply, feeling its warmth and energy flowing through you. With each sip, know that you are replenishing not just your body but your spirit. You are whole, you are loved, and you are healing.
Closing Prayer:
When you feel ready, place your hands on the ground and thank An Máthair Talún for her endless care and wisdom. Speak or think these words:
Go raibh mo neart athnuaite ag cúinne na talún.
(May my strength be renewed by the embrace of the earth.)
Rise slowly, carrying the peace and healing of this meditation with you. Remember that even in the quiet stillness of winter, life stirs beneath the surface, preparing to bloom again. So too does your spirit grow and heal, nurtured by the eternal love of the earth.
