Imbolc Anger Meditation

February 6th, 2025

[Physical Setting Directive: Stand or sit where you can feel the power of the wind. If indoors, position yourself near a window or door where you can hear its voice. Keep a stone or crystal in each hand, feeling their solid presence. Allow your breath to move like strong gusts, deep and powerful.]

Opening - Power Rising

A' Mhàthair Chumhachdach, èist ri mo chorruich Powerful Mother, hear my anger

Mar stoirm a' dùsgadh san earrach Like a storm awakening in spring

Tha mo neart ag èirigh My strength is rising

[Feel the raw power of late winter winds. Notice how they strip away the last of autumn's dead leaves, making way for new growth. Your anger, like these winds, has purpose and strength.]

Body - The Storm's Dance

Mar teine fo-thalamh Like fire underground

Mar chlach a' briseadh Like stone breaking

Tionndaidh an fhearg gu cumhachd Turn anger to power

Mar abhainn earraich a' sruthadh Like a spring river flowing

[Let your anger move like the sap rising in trees - powerful but directed. Feel it as the force that breaks seeds open, that pushes new growth through frozen ground. The Mother holds this power as surely as she holds the spring floods.]

Closing - Transformed Fire

A' tilleadh don talamh Returning to earth

Mo chumhachd air a glanadh My power cleansed

Mar theine nan luibhean Like the fire in herbs

A' toirt beatha às ùr Bringing life anew

[Experience your anger transforming like compost into fertile soil. Feel how the earth takes this heat and uses it to warm the awakening seeds. Your power joins with the rising energy of spring.]

Closing Thought

Consider this: How can your anger serve as a force for growth and renewal, just as the fierce winds of early spring clear the way for new life? What needs to be cleared in your own garden?

[Carry forward the knowledge that all emotions, even anger, can be transformed in the Mother's crucible into forces that serve life.]
