As the year draws nearer to its end, we are called to reflect on the journey we’ve traveled. This is a time to acknowledge what we have carried and release the burdens that no longer serve us, making space for renewal and growth.

Setting the Space

Find a quiet space where you feel safe and at ease. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and take a slow, deep breath in, then exhale fully.

"Análaigh isteach an tsíocháin agus scaoil amach an t-ualach."(Breathe in peace and release the burden.)

Feel the earth beneath you, supporting you as you enter this sacred moment.

Invocation

Call upon the spirit of release:"A Spiorad na Saoirse, cabhraigh linn scaoileadh le rudaí nach bhfuil ag freastal orainn."(Spirit of Freedom, help us release what no longer serves us.)

Feel the gentle presence of this spirit, like a breeze clearing the air.

Meditative Reflection

Think back on this past year. What have you carried with you—emotions, worries, or patterns—that feel heavy or out of place? Acknowledge them without judgment. These burdens may have taught you something or protected you in some way.

Whisper softly:"Glacaim leis an méid atá thart, ach tá mé réidh le scaoileadh leo anois."(I accept what has passed, but I am ready to release it now.)

Imagine these burdens as stones in a bag you’ve been carrying. Feel their weight, but also recognize that you have the power to set them down.

Guided Visualization

Picture yourself standing beside a flowing river, abhainn shíoraí. The water sparkles in the light, moving swiftly and effortlessly. In your hands, you hold the bag of stones—your burdens.

Take a deep breath, and as you exhale, release the bag into the river. Watch as the water carries it away, the weight disappearing from your shoulders.

Whisper:"Scaoilim le mo bhuairteanna, agus ligim don abhainn iad a ghlanadh."(I release my worries and let the river cleanse them.)

Feel a sense of lightness and freedom, as though the current has washed away not just the burdens but also the tension they created. Stand tall, renewed and unburdened.

Closing Blessing

As you let go of what no longer serves you, may you carry forward only the wisdom and strength that these experiences have given you.

"Go dtuga an abhainn seo glanadh agus soiléireacht duit."(May this river bring you cleansing and clarity.)

Open your eyes and take a deep breath. Walk into the day lighter, freer, and ready to embrace the new year.

"Beannachtaí na Saoirse ort, agus go mairfidh an solas i do chroí."(Blessings of Freedom upon you, and may the light live in your heart.)
