I cant believe we have to have this talk, but……..
Alright, here’s the deal: unless we magically stop spewing greenhouse gases right now, we’re headed for a hellscape where the planet heats up by 3.3°C to 5.7°C by 2100. Oh, and by 2150? Sea levels might jump five freaking meters because we can’t predict what those sneaky ice sheets are going to do. Picture this: millions of people on the move, massive food shortages, killer heat waves, raging wildfires, hurricanes that’ll blow your house (and maybe your whole town) away, and floods that would make Noah’s Ark look like a kiddie pool. Oh, and fighting over clean water? That’s just going to be a daily thing. Basically, Earth is heading toward becoming an actual, no-joke living hell. Get ready for a Star Wars era Moisture Farm, if you want water.

Now, you’d think the folks who say they care about this—Us, right?—would be all over it, right? Wrong. Instead, MSNBC is obsessed with Donald Trump. From October 2023 to October 2024, MSNBC mentioned Trump eleven times more than climate change. ELEVEN TIMES. And those few times they even bothered with climate change? It was usually just a throwaway line during hurricane coverage or some Gen Z “top issues” list. Meanwhile, Trump coverage was full-blown segments dedicated to—you guessed it—Trump. Whether he sneezed weird or blew up democracy, they were all over it.

Why? Ratings, baby. Cable news doesn’t give a damn about what matters; it’s aWant numbers? Viewers got 5,300 minutes of Trump chatter and a pathetic seventeen minutes about the climate crisis. That’s a ratio of 300-to-1. Yep, you heard that right.ll about the political horse race. Forget the actual issues. Instead, we get endless analysis of how topics “poll” with swing voters or white suburban moms. The real question isn’t “Is fracking terrible?” but “Will banning fracking scare Pennsylvania voters?” Seriously, what the actual hell?
Now Trump’s taking another term (yeah, let that sink in), which means climate action is basically screwed. But MSNBC? They’ve done jack to educate viewers on what’s happening or why it’s important. All they’ve done is frame it as “Trump bad, Democrats good,” leaving their audience clueless about the actual stakes. Sure, MSNBC watchers know Trump sucks for the planet, but do they know why? Or what to do about it? Nope. Meanwhile, the climate crisis isn’t waiting for anyone to get their act together. It’s a ticking time bomb, and the people who are supposed to care the most are too busy obsessing over Trump to do anything meaningful.
And this Druid Trans-Mom is just sad……
